A fig tree

Why thefigtrees.net1? I'm Lee Feigenbaum and my last name, Feigenbaum, means fig tree in German. This, of course, makes me and the rest of my family fig trees, and so where better to have a home on the internet? For now there's nothing here (besides that footnote down there) In the future, the possibilities are endless.

And ain't that a pretty picture of a fig tree?

Where can you get from here?

1Note that this site is both thefigtrees.net (with an s) and also thefigtree.net (without an s). Which you choose to use to refer to this site is an important philosophical question. Many moons have been spent debating the meaning and relation between the two names. The latter is a strong, holistic symbol. It cries out "This is the Feigenbaum! It is thefigtree(.net)!". The latter is more family-oriented, a whole built from many parts. It speaks "They are each an indiviual and yet together they are more powerful. This is them together... this is the Feigenbaums! It is thefigtrees(.net)!"
thefigtrees.net is now hosted by DreamHost.
